ช่วงเทศกาลหลายต่อหลายครั้งที่ปาร์ตี้จนฟ้าสางคาตา เมาหนักจนไปต่อไม่ไหว ตื่นมาวินเวียนคลื่นไส้ หรือที่ เรียกกันว่า “เมาค้าง” (Hang Over) เพราะแอลกอฮอล์มีชื่อทางเคมีว่า Ethanol หรือ Ethyl Alcohol จัดเป็นสารกดประสาทชนิดหนึ่ง เมื่อดื่มไปแล้ว ร่างกายเราจะทำทุกวิถีทางที่จะกำจัดออกไป แต่ผลกระทบอาจจะไม่ใช่แค่รอตับกำจัดแค่นั้น แต่ผลมากมายต่อร่างกายด้วย
เมาค้าง เกิดขึ้นได้อย่างไร
เมื่อแอลกอฮอล์เข้าสู่ร่างกายแล้ว จะมีพิษต่อเซลล์ร่างกาย จึงมีเอนไซม์ Acetal dehydrogenase มาเปลี่ยนให้เป็น สารอะซีเตต ( Acetate) ที่ไม่มีพิษ และ ร่างกายสามารถนำไปใช้เป็นพลังงาน ได้ แต่ในร่างกายคนเราบางคน ผลิตเอนไซม์ Acetal dehydrogenase ได้ในปริมาณที่จำกัด จึงเกิดการสะสมของ Acetal aldehyde ซึ่งเป็นพิษต่อเซลล์ ทำให้ระบบประสาทและสมอง ระบบการย่อยและระบบการดูดซึมอาหาร การนอนหลับ ผิดปกติได้
ปาร์ตี้หนัก กินอาหารไขมันสูง-ดื่มแอลกอฮอล์บ่อยๆ ระวัง “ไขมันพอกตับ”
วิธีแก้แฮงค์
1. ดื่มน้ำเปล่าครั้งละ 1-2 แก้ว บ่อยๆ เพื่อให้ร่างกายปวดปัสสาวะ และน้ำจะพาสารตกค้างจากแอลกอฮอล์ออกมากับปัสสาวะ บางคนอาจดื่มชาร่วมด้วย เพราะชามีฤทธิ์ขับปัสสาวะอ่อน
2. รับประทานอาหารอ่อนๆ เช่น ข้าวต้ม โจ๊ก อาจพอช่วยลดอาการเมาค้างได้บ้าง
3. ดื่มน้ำผักและผลไม้ปั่น รสออกเปรี้ยวหวาน อาจช่วยได้ เนื่องจากเราจะสูญเสียวิตามินแร่ธาตุจากการดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ จนทำให้มีอาการอ่อนเพลียได้ หรืออาจใช้วิตามินชนิดเม็ดฟู่ละลายน้ำดื่มก็สามารถทำได้ไม่มีข้อห้าม
4. สำหรับผู้ที่มีอาการคลื่นไส้อาเจียน การดื่มน้ำขิง ชามินต์ อาจช่วยลดอาการเหล่านี้ได้
5. วิตามินอาหารเสริม ที่อาจช่วยบรรเทาอาการได้ เช่น วิตามินบีรวม วิตามินซี แมกนีเซียม และกรดอะมิโนแอล-ซีสเทอีน (L-Cysteine)
6. หากมีอาการปวดหัว ตัวร้อน ร่วมด้วย สามารถทานยาแก้ปวดกลุ่มที่ไม่ใช่สเตียรอยด์ได้ เช่น แอสไพริน ไอบูโพรเฟ่น หรือยาตัวอื่นๆ ในกลุ่มเดียวกัน ทั้งนี้ควรปรึกษาเภสัชกร หรือแพทย์ก่อนซื้อยา เพื่อซักถามประวัติการแพ้ยาอย่างละเอียดก่อนที่จะทาน
7. สำหรับกาแฟนั้น อาจไม่ได้ช่วยทำให้อาการแฮงค์ดีขึ้น แต่อาจทำให้เราตื่นตัว แต่ถ้าร่างกายยังพักผ่อนไม่เพียงพอ หรือนอนน้อย เมื่อหมดฤทธิ์กาแฟ จะทำเพลียหนักมากกว่าเดิมถ้ายังฝืนทำงานต่อ
เตรียมตัวอย่างไรไม่ให้แฮงค์
อย่าปล่อยให้ท้องว่าง หาข้าวหรืออาหารเบาๆ รองท้อง เพราะถ้าท้องว่าง เราจะเมาง่ายและน้ำตาลในกระแสเลือดตกวูบได้
อย่าดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ทีละมากๆ หรือเข้มข้นมากจนเกินไป แนะนำให้ผสมกับเครื่องดื่มหรือ มิกเซอร์ และค่อยๆ ดื่ม
ดื่มน้ำตาม 1-2 แก้ว ทุกชั่วโมงเพื่อไม่ให้ระดับแอลกฮอล์ในเลือดเข้มข้นจนเกินไป และทดแทนน้ำที่เสียไปกับปัสสาวะ ระหว่างดื่มแอลกอฮอล์
การทานวิตามินรวมหรือกรดอะมิโนแอล-ซีสเทอีน (L-Cysteine) ก่อนไปดริ้ง อาจช่วยลดการอักเสบของตับ จากการที่เซลล์ตับถูกแอลกอฮอล์ทำร้ายได้
การดื่มแอลกอฮอล์มากเกินไป นอกจากส่งผลกระทบต่อสมองแล้วยังผลต่อตับ เพิ่มความเสี่ยงในการเกิดไขมันสะสมที่ตับ (fatty liver) หากดื่มบ่อยๆ อาจนำไปสู่ตับอักเสบ พังผืดที่ตับ ในที่สุด ก็จะกลายเป็นตับแข็ง ดังนั้น สุขภาพที่ดี เรากำหนดได้เอง จากการดื่มอย่างมีสติและพอประมาณกลับบ้านปลอดภัยนะคะ
